Who we are: Spartan Logistics is a regional provider of world-class third party logistics services. Our locations are within 1 day's delivery to 2/3 of the population and manufacturing capacity of the US and Canada. Spartan Logistics is expanding its footprint with a new location in Lockbourne, Ohio. This position is available for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift.
You: The forklift driver loads, unloads, verifies product quality and quantity received and shipped on a daily basis along with tagging overflow and providing perfect paperwork. During this process 100 percent accuracy is mandatory. In addition, the forklift driver is responsible for putting away stock and dropping stock for order selectors. These duties are to be performed in a safe, efficient and productive manner. You must have forklift operator experience or certification to apply for this job. Your hours will be full time, hourly rate based on experience.
Responsibilities:
•Loading trucks
•Forklift inspections
•Cycle overflow stock
•Tray unloading from trailers
•Tray management and stacking
•Unloading trucks and containers
•Label product for quick identification
•Verifying product received and shipped as well as verifying their date codes, tie colors and quantities with 100% accuracy
•Inventory reconciliation
•Conducting cycle counts
•General cleaning of warehouse
•Other duties may be assigned.

Experience: One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to manipulate product; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception. Constant on and off the forklift is required to check out quality and coding on product. Ability to lift 40-50 lbs. from floor level to 7 feet regularly.
Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Warehouse is not climate controlled, temperatures can be anywhere from over 100 to well below freezing.
