Spartan was founded in 1988 in Columbus, Ohio as a warehouse and distribution provider to service the growing industrial base and taking advantage of Ohio’s central location.  This has well positioned us to grow to over 1.8 million square feet throughout Ohio and Indiana, as well as an additional location in South Carolina.  Spartan’s sales focus has been in handling of food grade materials, glass, paper, and fragile/ high value products. In addition to warehousing, Spartan provides full-service transportation. This allows Spartan to provide seamless pick-up, storage and delivery to our customers.

We have invested heavily in custom-designed inventory management software that gives us the full range of warehouse management, billing, electronic data transmission, label generation, and online tracking abilities. We continuously improve supply chain flow for our customers by providing quality service and value added contributions such as packing, quality control, co-packing, EDI integration and inventory management. These contributions have elevated Spartan as a regional leader in the Columbus warehouse and logistics industry. We are members of both the IWLA and the Columbus Regional Logistics Council.

Spartan remains privately owned and family-run, but well positioned to provide the high-quality service of a national logistics provider at costs which add real value to your supply chain.

Elza Harmon, Director of Columbus Operations

  • Graduate of Morehead State University
  • Over 30 years experience in Sales, Marketing, and Distribution
  • Setup multiple branch operations for industrial distribution
  • Established Foreign operations in Mexico for industrial distribution
  • Manages all Columbus operations

Chuck Harrison, Director of Government Operations  Chuck Harrison Linkedin

  • Served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Kennedy CV-67
  • Over ten years experience in distribution management
  • Completed Associate’s Degree in Business/ Operations Management while working for Spartan
  • Simultaneously designed and started two remote operations for dedicated contract warehouse

  • Over ten years experience in safety and DOT regulations
  • Established ground up Safety programs
  • Provide company safety and DOT compliance

Josh Long, Manager Anderson SC

  • Over 10 years experience in retail operations and fortune 500 facility management
  • Implemented  AIB controls, operational improvements, and cost savings
