Spartan was founded in 1988 in Columbus, Ohio as a warehouse and distribution provider to service the growing industrial base and taking advantage of Ohio's central location.
Our officers have over 100 years combined experience in the warehousing and distribution field. Spartan's sales focus has been in handling
of food grade materials, glass, paper, and fragile/ high value products. In addition to warehousing, Spartan provides full-service transportation.
This allows Spartan to provide seamless pick-up, storage and delivery to our customers.
We have invested heavily over the last 5 years in
custom-designed inventory management software that gives us the full range of warehouse management, billing, electronic data transmission,
label generation, and online tracking abilities. We continuously improve supply chain flow for our customers by providing quality service and
value added contributions such as packing, quality control, co-packing, EDI integration and inventory management. These contributions have elevated Spartan as a regional leader in the Ohio warehouse and distribution industry. For specific examples of ways we have helped our customers succeed.

Steve Harmon, Chief Financial Officer
- CPA and former manager at major accounting firm and graduate of American University.
- Helped start the company by designing, planning, and training accounting and inventory control systems.
- Over 10 years experience in managing, pricing, planning and controlling logistics operations.
- Manages financing, systems, and lending relationships.
Jim Wallace, VP- Transportation
- Graduate of Troy State University
- 8 years of transportation, safety, risk management and claims experience.
- Active member in ATA, OTA, TIDA and NASTC
- Former Vice President of the Tennessee Trucking Association
- Former member of the ATA Truck Driving Championship Committee
Elza Harmon, Vice President
- Graduate of Morehead State University
- Over 30 years experience in Sales, Marketing, and Distribution
- Setup multiple branch operations for industrial distribution
- Established Foreign operations in Mexico for industrial distribution
- Manages operations, customer relations, and value added services.
